The gavel tapped to start the third general session of the 91st Kansas FFA Convention at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019.

The session’s first item of business was to highlight the second group of the state winning proficiencies.

Miranda Depenbusch, 2018–19 Kansas FFA Reporter, delivered her retiring address “Love Louder.”

As an association, Kansas FFA recognized the diligent work and efforts by the Kansas FFA Foundation Sponsors for their investment in the young and future leaders in agriculture.

The Southeast of Saline FFA Chapter won the state scrapbook competition.

In the Employability Skills LDE, Hannah Karmann from the Chapman FFA chapter was recognized as the state winner.

Congratulations go to the Ellsworth FFA Chapter on topping the Growing Leaders category of the National Chapter Awards program.

Kansas FFA recognized the Presidential CTE Scholars and the scholarship and Washington Leadership Conference award recipients.

Then the National FFA President from California, Luke O’Leary gave remarks to the Kansas FFA.

To end the session, the ever-anticipated drawing for the John Deer Gator was done. Congratulations to the finalists:
