Chapman FFA member Hannah Karmanne

Hannah Karmann, from the Chapman FFA chapter, earned first place in the Employability Skills Leadership Development Event (LDE) at the 91st Kansas FFA Convention, May 29–31, 2019, on the Kansas State University campus.

Karmann took home the top honor in the LDE, which challenges members to prepare a detailed resume and professional application and to participate in mock interviews. With the win, Karmann is eligible to represent Kansas at the 2019 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Receiving second place in the Employability Skills LDE was Logan Elliot from the Riverton FFA chapter. Taylor Brynds from the Girard FFA chapter received third place, and Sienna Wingerson from the Smith Center FFA chapter placed fourth, Riley Krehbiel from the Kingman FFA chapter placed fifth, and Lindsay Gonzales from the Washburn Rural FFA chapter placed sixth.
