MANHATTAN, Kan. –Taylor Green, from the Southeast of Saline FFA Chapter, completed her term as State FFA President after helping lead the 87th Kansas FFA Convention May 27-29, on the Kansas State University campus. Green represented more than 8,850 Kansas FFA members during her 2014-2015 term.

After being elected State FFA President in May 2014, Green traveled across the state sharing her passion for leadership, service and agriculture. She was one of six officers who presented workshops and speeches challenging high school students to serve their community in the spirit of this year’s convention theme, “Go all out!”

“Serving as a state officer has been enlightening, challenging and very rewarding, Green said. “Getting to serve the members of Kansas FFA has shown me the true potential that they have to impact the future of agriculture.”

Green marked the completion of her year of service by presenting her retiring address titled “Wait and See” at the sixth session of the convention, Friday, May 29.

Green will be a sophomore at Kansas State University. She plans to finish her degree in Agronomy. Her officer team included: Vice President Bethany Schifferdecker, Girard Chapter; Secretary Jeffrey Hadachek, Republic County Chapter; Treasurer Chantelle Simon, Hill City Chapter; Reporter Kyle Apley, Blue Valley Chapter; and Sentinel Nicholas Meyer, Marion Chapter.

Green is the daughter of Michael and Lisa Green. Her advisor is John Bergin.
