Skyline FFA Chapter Wins State Ag Issues Forum

The Skyline FFA chapter was recognized for earning first place in the Ag Issues Forum Leadership Development Event (LDE) during the 91st Kansas FFA State Convention, May 29–31, 2019, on the Kansas State University campus.

In the Ag Issues Forum LDE, FFA members must create a written portfolio and prepare a verbal presentation addressing issues facing agriculture.

Skyline FFA won first place in the state event with their topic of wind energy in Kansas. Team members on the team included: Sophie Bricker, Kayley Cook, Stephanie Holmes, Kami McComb and Cali Newdigger. Their chapter advisor is Anita DeWeese.

As a state winner, the first-place Skyline team is eligible to represent the Kansas FFA Association in the National Ag Issues Forum LDE at the fall 2019 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.
