Mission Valley FFA team members were recognized for placing first in the State Novice Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development Event (LDE) at the opening ceremony of the 90th Kansas FFA State Convention, May 30–June 1, 2018, on the Kansas State University campus.

In the Novice Parliamentary Procedure LDE, FFA members must demonstrate proficiency in using proper procedure to efficiently run a meeting.

Mission Valley FFA was awarded first place in the contest. Washington County FFA placed second, Uniontown FFA placed third and Udall FFA placed fourth.

Team members from the Mission Valley FFA chapter include Ashton McGinley, Karlee Godfrey, Allie Linhart, Benjamin Rudeen, Paige Sims and McKenzie Shives.
