MANHATTAN, Kan. – Jeffrey Hadachek, from the Republic County FFA Chapter, completed his term as State FFA Secretary after helping lead the 87th Kansas FFA Convention May 27-­29, on the Kansas State University campus. Hadachek represented more than 8,850 Kansas FFA members during his 2014-­2015 term.

After being elected State FFA Secretary in May 2014, Hadachek traveled across the state sharing his passion for leadership, service and agriculture. He was one of six officers who presented workshops and speeches challenging high school students to serve their community in the spirit of this year’s convention theme, “Go all out!”

“When we were elected I thought I was one of six, but throughout the year I realized that I am just one in 8,850 members of the Kansas FFA,” Hadachek said reflecting on his time as a state officer. “I will always cherish my time as a state officer, but I will never forget that the true backbone of this organization is the members.”

Hadachek marked the completion of his year of service by presenting his retiring address titled “But I Cashed It” at the third session of the convention, Thursday, May 28.

Hadachek will be a sophomore at Kansas State University majoring in Agricultural Economics.

His officer team included: President Taylor Green, Southeast of Saline Chapter; Vice President Bethany Schifferdecker, Girard Chapter; Treasurer Chantelle Simon, Hill City Chapter; Reporter Kyle Apley, Blue Valley Chapter; and Sentinel Nicholas Meyer, Marion Chapter.

Hadachek is the son of Merle and Debra Hadachek. His advisors are Merle Hadachek and Daniel Stehlik.
