Kansas FFA Welcome Six New Chapters

kansasffa92nd Kansas FFA Convention

Six new FFA chapters received their charter Wednesday during the opening session of the 92nd Kansas FFA Convention May 27–29, 2020, held virtually.

“Welcoming new FFA chapters into our organization is an amazing opportunity that excites each state officer as we watch members grow as leaders.” said Logan Elliott, 2019–20 Kansas FFA President. “This shows a true dedication and passion by our state and communities as they create opportunities for youth and strengthen agriculture.”

The new chapters include: Attica FFA, Canton Galva FFA, Larned FFA, Madison FFA, Norwich FFA and Sterling FFA.

The focus of the efforts to expand into new communities is to reach communities not yet served by agricultural education and FFA, and to ensure the quality and high performance of current programs providing personal, academic and career education in agriculture.

Chapters can only be chartered in schools where systematic instruction in agriculture education is offered. To receive their charter, each chapter must submit a letter of application, a list of their members and officers, a copy of the proposed local chapter constitution and bylaws, and a copy of their program of activities, as well as have paid current district, state, and national dues.
