Girard FFA team members were recognized for placing first in the state in the Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development Event (LDE) at the 91st Kansas FFA Convention, May 29–31, 2019, on the Kansas State University campus.

In the Parliamentary Procedure CDE, FFA members must demonstrate proficiency in using proper procedure to efficiently run a meeting.

Girard FFA was awarded first place in the contest. Mission Valley FFA placed second, Labette County FFA placed third and Clay Center FFA placed fourth.

Team members from the Holton FFA chapter include Colby McManis, Macy Reif, Taylor Brynds, Tricia Combs, Abby Smith and Laney Shireman.

As the state Parliamentary Procedure LDE winner, Girard FFA has the opportunity to represent Kansas at the 2019 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. This award is sponsored by the CHS Foundation.
