Fourth Session in Review

The second day of the 90th Kansas FFA Convention was closed out with the fourth session. This session was all about shining a light on the dedication of FFA supporters and the accolades of Kansas FFA members. Here is a short summary of the highlights.

Bryleigh Isch from the Burlington FFA chapter sings the national anthem.

John Kennedy delivered the state vice president’s retiring address. Read the speech “Take the Wheel.”

Three cherished friends of Kansas FFA were recognized and awarded their Honorary State FFA Degree.

Max Hartman from the Inman FFA chapter won the Discussion Meet sponsored by Kansas Farm Bureau.

The Tonganoxie FFA Chapter won the Agricultural Issues Forum Leadership Development Event.

Brandon Carp from the Maize FFA Chapter was the state winner of the Extemporaneous Public Speaking Leadership Development Event earning a plaque and $100.

Grace Roth from the Holcomb FFA Chapter was the state winner of the Prepared Public Speaking Leadership Development Event earning a plaque and $100.

The top 20 FFA chapters for the National Chapter award area of Strengthening Agriculture were recognized.

Finally, the session concluded by hearing inspired remarks from the keynote speaker, Rhett Laubach, a renowned speaker, leadership trainer, author, and owner of YourNextSpeaker, LLC.

Rhett Laubach inspires us to open our eyes to accomplish our goals during his keynote speech.
