The third and final day of the 90th Kansas FFA Convention geared up with the start of the fifth session at 8 a.m. at McCain Auditorium. Here is a look back at the session.

Participants in the Agriscience Fair were recognized for competing in the fair. This year’s Agriscience Fair featured 12 students engaged in science and technology related to the agricultural sector.
Claire Carnahan from the Labette County FFA chapter won first place in the Ag Sales Career Development Event and the Labette County FFA chapter also won Ag Sales as a team.
The National FFA Advisor, Dr. Steve Brown, made an appearance at the Kansas FFA Convention.

The Mission Valley FFA Chapter won the Novice Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development Event.
The Holton FFA Chapter won the Senior Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development Event.
The Anderson County FFA Chapter won the Leadership Quiz Bowl.
The Mission Valley FFA Chapter won the Marketing Plan Leadership Development Event.
The Kansas chapters winning a state CDE and proceeding to competition at the national level were recognized.
Members were recognized for receiving scholarships for winning first place in their respective career development events.
Recipients of the Nursery/Landscape Scholarships provided by STIHL Outdoor Power Equipment were named.

The fifth session again highlighted Kansas FFA members’ achievements throughout the entire year. Following the session, members have the opportunity to attend the Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Fair in the K-State Student Union or the Something to Eat – Food Packing Event in the Stanley Stout Center.
