Chapman FFA Member Wins Kansas FFA Employment Skills Event

Peyton Horn, from the Chapman FFA chapter, earned first place in the Employment Skills Leadership Development Event (LDE) at the 90th Kansas FFA Convention, May 30–June 1, 2018, on the Kansas State University campus.

Horn took home the top honor in the LDE, which challenges members to prepare a detailed resume and professional application and to participate in mock interviews. With the win, Peyton is eligible to represent Kansas at the 2018 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Receiving second place in the Employment Skills LDE was Rachel Bebb from the Labette County FFA chapter. Alexa McCurdy from the West Franklin FFA chapter received third place, and Carlean Sanders from the Minneapolis FFA chapter placed fourth, Jordan Vandervort from the Washburn Rural FFA chapter placed fifth, and Tierney Kester from the Stockton FFA chapter placed sixth.

The LDE is sponsored by Mid Kansas Cooperative.
